Joint  Street Warden’s scheme with the Anglicans

 

This was set up two years ago to welcome newcomers to our villages.

Every street in the villages of Long Hanborough and Church Hanborough has somebody to keep an eye out for new people moving in.

A ‘Welcome Pack’, which comprises of our local magazine the ‘Hanborough Herald’, Newsletters from the Anglican and Methodist Churches and an information booklet which has contact numbers for most organisations and shops etc. in the villages, is then taken to the newcomers and a link is made. So far about 60 packs have been distributed and  very well received. Due to the current climate things have been very slow of late.
