Joint  Street Warden’s scheme with the Anglicans

This was set up in May 2006 to welcome newcomers to our villages.

Every street in the villages of Long Hanborough and Church Hanborough has somebody to keep an eye out for new people moving in.

A ‘Welcome Pack’, which comprises of our local magazine the ‘Hanborough Herald’, Newsletters from the Anglican and Methodist Churches and an information booklet which has contact numbers for most organisations and shops etc. in the villages, is then taken to the newcomers and a link is made. So far over 100 packs have been distributed and  very well received.

We aim to have a Street Wardens get-together about once a year, this is a good opportunity to come together to make comments and give any feedback.
